first day of work today

at the front desk of a nyc hotel. at first i was like WHAT EVEN IS THIS cause it’s super busy and a lot to learn. but i think that i’ll like it when i learn how to check in/out guests, book reservations, make calls, take costumer’s orders, etc. lol

it was 8 hours of standing + walking so mah legs hurt. i came home so beat but i’ll have to schedule in a workout sometime tomorrow since today was technically my rest day.

my coworkers seem pretty awesome though! going back for round 2 of training tomorrow. letz do itttttt

first workout/food relationship/new me? :D

After four days of letting my knee heal, I had a strength workout this morning! woooo!! I messed it up on sunday when I was squatting with weights and I know I didn’t have proper form and didn’t stretch after. Yup, stupid mistakes like that can lead to days of pain. I’m lucky that it was only a minor strain in my knee.

So I did arms & abs this morning before school with Gain Fitness. It’s a really awesome website & I exercise with their app for the iPhone. I think i’m going to stick to this strength routine! I plan on going for my first cardio sesh tomorrow morning - either running outside or doing HIIT running on a treadmill.

What I really wanted to stress here, was that during my time off of working out, I had to sit a lot, obviously. Normally, I would’ve flipped out and had to at least stand or walk around a lot to make up for not actually working out. But I didn’t freak out and relaxed and rested! Also, I ate 1200-1300 calories of clean foods every day and ate food intuitively! I only ate more calories one night I went out to dinner with a friend, and it was a four course dinner. I didn’t overeat and I stuck to healthy options but didn’t know any of the nutritional information or how many calories the food had. Normally if I didn’t know, I’d flip out again and not eat there. But I ate what I felt like having - salad, a few bits of pasta, some pork with veggies & potatoes, and ice cream and half a brownie. I think I finally developed a good relationship with food.

I also haven’t weighed myself in a while and I don’t plan on it. I just want to eat clean and focus on muscle gain. I would like to lose 3-5 pounds, but I’d rather first build muscle and lose fat. Since I’d rather not weigh myself, I’ll just have to judge my progress in the mirror!

I know i’ve been MIA with posts, and that’s because it’s taken me a while to figure myself out and what I want. I haven’t binged or purged in weeks and I never plan on doing that ever again. An updated workout schedule will be posted soon - maybe around 2-3 weeks because my workout will continue to be a little off because of prom weekend & other social school things. I’m going to Disney with my friend for prom weekend and i am SO PUMPED. Yup, we’re skippin prom ;)

Okay, that’s all for this post. I feel like this blog will go in a new direction soon. My eating disorder screwed up my life mentally, physically, and socially, and now it’s time to continue recovery.

bought my senior cruise dress yesterday! IT WAS ONLY $20 AH. the senior cruise is where all the seniors are taken on a dinner cruise in the NYC harbor and i’m exciiiited :D just need to shape up a few more trouble spots aka tummy and thighs. okay time to workout now!
